What Outpatient Treatment at LSA Includes

Outpatient treatment is for people who can safely live at home while they get care. You come in for scheduled counseling sessions and medical visits, in person or by telehealth, and then go back to your day.

Your assessment sets the level of care. Depending on your needs, that can be an intensive outpatient schedule with more sessions each week, or a standard outpatient schedule that steps down as you gain stability.

Outpatient care is also a common next step after an inpatient stay, and a way to keep your recovery on track once the most intense part of treatment is behind you.

Treatment starts with an assessment. A counselor meets with you to understand your substance use, your physical and mental health, and what you want to change, and together you agree on a treatment plan and a schedule that fits your life.

Your plan can combine individual counseling, group sessions and family sessions, plus medication-assisted treatment for opioid use. Care managers help with the problems that make recovery harder, from legal matters to finding mental health services and support groups.

Many people come to us because of a court case, a DWI or an ACS case. Our criminal justice counseling, DWI program and ACS services are built for those situations.

What is outpatient drug and alcohol treatment?

It is treatment you attend while living at home. You come to scheduled counseling sessions and medical visits at one of our offices, or by telehealth, and go home afterward.

How is outpatient different from inpatient rehab?

Inpatient rehab means staying at a facility around the clock. Outpatient treatment lets you keep working, going to school and caring for your family while you get treatment.

Do you accept Medicaid?
